Traffic Lights

Have you ever stopped to count the number of traffic lights on your street or in your city? Often you hear Canadians talk about being a one traffic light town. In the city of Vientianne, there are still so few traffic lights, that they are marked on city maps. In a city of approximately 600,000, how many traffic lights do you think there are according to the city map I have?

your stories are so rich with detail. thank you wendy. my family used to have a store too, in the philippines... you can see why immigrants get so lonely when they come to canada. we're so anti-social here!

p.s. I think there are six lights! that's my guess. do I win a prize if I'm right?

According to the city map I have, there are 25 traffic lights, but I'm told a few more have been added lately. There are several round abouts, but there definitely is a different understanding on how you move through them, then what I'm used to.
