Ants in the Sugar Bowl

Prior to leaving North America I was given a reading entitled "Ants in the Sugar Bowl". The reading provides inspiration for adjusting to life in a new culture. So far, I have not moved beyond the first line . . .

So send I you:
to ants in the sugar bowl

To this I would add . . .
to ants in, under and around the toaster
to ants everywhere on the table
to ants crawling around the computer
to ants in my bed, but so far, not ants in my pants.

Thankfully, so far there have been no
ants in the sugar bowl!!

Usually I think of very LARGE bugs being an issue in warm climates...how unexciting that you have to deal with ants!

I'm sure the LARGE bug experiences will come. In fact, yesterday, there was a very large flying bee-like critter wanting to join me for lunch. Thankfully I was spared harm from this critter by the quick stroke of the cook's broom.

Wendy, people often ask me how I know what ants taste like- when you've spent time in a tropical country, you *know*
