Green

Greens of every shade, hue and tone surround me, without one combination being an offense to the eye.
Raised in south western Ontario I experienced this annually in late June and early July and yet it seldom struck me like it does when I return from the dryness of the Canadian prairies.
Everything is GREEN - fields filled with growing crops of knee-high corn, winter wheat fields, soy beans and white beans, pastures for grazing and soon to be cut hay fields.
Everything is GREEN - tall majestic maples dressed in this year's green leaves; evergreens of every shape and size; ditches lining the roads hosting a variety of grasses and "weeds" and even the occasional steel roof-top of a barn or shed bares the symbolic life-giving green colour.
Never may I forget this precious beauty of GREEN.
