Traveling by 125 cc motorcycle is currently the most popular way to travel around the city of Vientiane; however, daily new four wheel vehicles are being added to the roads. Motorcycle travel allows for convenient parking in a city not designed for numerous four wheel vehicles. Travel by motorcycle during the rainy season is not always pleasant, but generally it just means getting wet. In the heat of the day, travel by motorcycle just requires wearing protective gear from the sun, which is a common practice particularly for women. The biggest challenge for me, is curl control after wearing a helmet.
